The assassination of Bin Ladin by the US Navy commando unit "Seal Team Six" was the final nail in the coffin of the Bush Administration's horrific hoax known as the Iraq War: Saddam Hussein and WMD and other manufactured lies of the Bush Crime Family. When I heard that Bin Laden was capped in US ally, Pakistan my blood boiled. Since the Reagan Era the US has been funneling money to, Pakistan our so-called proxy in the region.
Pakistan's ISI (Their CIA) was giving US money to the Taliban and financing the radical Madrasa schools throughout the region. But, I digress-Although I'm not a fan of CIA assassination of anyone, I and several classmates at CCNY believed 9-11 was an crime not an act of war. Further, we agreed that 9-11 was best handled as a FBI/CIA-NYPD investigation. Bush was better off telling the world that this was a criminal investigation and that eventually the people responsible would be apprehended or killed. Instead, being the low -brow-intellectual that he is, Bush let himself be "Rope-A-Doped" by Bin Laden into deploying US military might in the Middle-East. This was exactly what Bin Laden wanted Bush to do. Bin Laden used the US invasion of Iraq to make Al Qaeda a symbol of Muslim liberation. The rest is history. We know the sordid details of the Bush administration deceptions to manufacture world-wide consent for the invasion of Iraq. It was a criminal act and the Bush administration got away with these war crimes. But, eventually someone has to pay. Unfortunately, it's the everyday working people who are now facing raising interest rates on home, car and credit cards if the US defaults August 2, because the same people who caused this economic mess refuse to raise the US Debt Ceiling. If this happens the money, just like in the Wall Street Bail-out of 2008-09, goes to the Banksters and Fat Cats on Wall Street. Just think if we didn't go to war in 2003. Imagine if Bush would have just dispatched a team to track down the Al Qaeda thugs. Thousands of lives would have been saved. We would have more than enough money to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure, healthcare, education and other social services. The high unemployment, cuts in social services, mass layoffs of state workers, states that are literally broke are but the aftermath of the Bush debacle in Iraq. Default day is rapidly approaching. As of this post both sides are still far apart. As the late New York Mets announcer, Bob Murphy would say in a late inning game "Folks Fasting Your Seat belts!"
